Codan acquires Zetron

Codan Limited has completed the acquisition of Zetron, and will merge the company with existing critical communications line of business to expand the combined company’s integrated mission critical communications technology portfolio.

Zetron will now be integrated with the North American-based critical communications division of Codan Communications, a Codan Limited portfolio company. The newly merged business will operate under the name Zetron and continue to develop and market the current respective solutions of both businesses. The new Zetron has more than 300 global employees, doing business in over 150 countries on all seven continents of the world. The company will be headquartered in Redmond, Washington (USA), with additional operations in Victoria, BC (CAN), Brisbane, QLD (AUS), and regional sales offices located within the Americas, EMEA and APAC regions.

TCED appoints Argosy Communications as a sales representative for Alberta

TCED today announced the appointment of Argosy Communications Products (www.acpltd.ca) in Victoria BC, as our new manufacturer’s representatives for TCED (LME/telecommunication division only) for the province of Alberta. This is being done to provide better service and support to you, our clients.

Argosy was founded in 2008 by Douglas Bigrigg. It is the Canadian manufacturer’s representative for a number of firms including Codan Base Stations, Maxon Handhelds, Omnitronics consoles and Panorama Antenna. They currently represent TCED in BC. Supporting Doug is Gerry Wight. Both Doug and Gerry are electrical engineers and had previously worked together at Daniels Electronics running the sales & marketing team prior to the firm being acquired by Codan. They both bring 20+ years experience in the LMR market especially in Canada.

Barrett Communications secures contract with Canadian DND

November 2019 – Barrett Communications has recently been awarded a multiyear contract to supply the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND) with Very High Frequency (VHF) radio communications equipment. This new contract follows on from the earlier contract awarded to Barrett in 2016.
